     Take time to walk down South Main St. which is lined with historical rowhouses or stop at the Prouty Chew Museum to step back in time. Geneva is known to be the National Lake Trout Capital of the World, home of Hobart William Smith College who graduated the first woman doctor Ms. Elizabeth Blackwell, and blessed with the grandeur of the Smith Opera House which has hosted performers such as George M. Cohan, Isadora Duncan, Billy Joel, Jay Leno, Bruce Springsteen and Dave Matthews.
     The Finger Lakes consists of four major Finger Lakes; west to east they are Canandaigua, Keuka, Seneca & Cayuga with Seneca Lake being the largest. The lakes were carved over 10,000 years ago by glaciers leaving behind a host for culture, landmarks and natures outdoor entertainment. New York’s Finger Lakes are located 1 ½ hours East of Niagara Falls, 5 hours North West of New York City and 1 hour from each of the City of Rochester and of the City of Syracuse.

The area has become known for its suitable viniferous growing climate, influenced by the large volume of water in the lakes.      View the Spectacular rock formations & waterfalls scattered throughout Watkins Glen, Montour Falls & Taughannock Falls in Trumansburg and Kashong Glen. Geologists from all around the world visit the Kashong area to study the rock formations left behind by the glaciers.

Spend time visiting Heluva Good Cheese Country Store in Sodus, Lake Ontario or walk the paths thru the gorge in Watkins Glen. An afternoon of touring and shopping at MacKenzie-Childs in Aurora or Corning Glass Museum in Corning could be topped off with relaxing dinner of fine cuisine at Ports Café on the West side of Seneca Lake 4 miles South of Geneva. Explore the beautiful gardens of elaborate floral tapestry, decorating Sonnenberg Gardens in Canandaigua and the charm and grandeur of the Mansion.
