Take time to walk down South Main St. which is lined with historical rowhouses or stop at the Prouty Chew Museum to step back in time. Geneva is known to be the National Lake Trout Capital of the World, home of Hobart William Smith College who graduated the first woman doctor Ms. Elizabeth Blackwell, and blessed with the grandeur of the Smith Opera House which has hosted performers such as George M.      The Finger Lakes consists of four major Finger Lakes; west to east they are Canandaigua, Keuka, Seneca & Cayuga with Seneca Lake being the largest. The lakes were carved over 10,000 years ago by glaciers leaving behind a host for culture, landmarks and natures outdoor entertainment. New York’s Finger Lakes are located 1 ½ hours East of Niagara Falls, 5 hours North West of New York City and 1 hour from each of the City of Rochester and of the City of Syracuse.
